The 6,500-acre Mariposa master planned community in northern Rio Rancho has broken ground on what will be the first building to be constructed in its East Commons area. The 14,500-square-foot facility will serve as an office, retail and sales center for Mariposa's staff and the community's developer, High Desert Investment Corp. The facility, designed by Albuquerque architecture firm Dekker Perich Sabatini, is being built by Enterprise Builders. It is scheduled to be complete in February 2007. .
